Oadby Village Hall Fund
Grant Support Exclusively for the Benefit of Oadby and its Surrounding Areas
Our Story
The Oadby Village Hall Fund (OVHF) is a grant-making charity (Charity Number: 228144) that operates exclusively for the benefit of the inhabitants of Oadby, Leicestershire. It was established in 1963 with a mission to support charitable purposes for which provision is not made out of rates, taxes or other public funds. The charity does not raise income through funding appeals.
OVHF considers application for grants from a wide range voluntary groups and other non-profit organisations directly involved in supporting Oadby residents. While generally no application is too small, it is uncommon for OVHF to support a single grant application exceeding £10,000. The trustee accept applications for grants on an ad-hoc basis (i.e., at any time) through direct applications and meet on a quarterly basis to make funding decisions.
The trustees meet on a quarterly basis (January, April, July & October) to make funding decisions. Accordingly, applications should be submitted by the end of December, March, June & September.

Past Grants & Impact
Oadby-Wigston Hall Fund is proud of the impact made through our funding.
Some of the recent projects we have funded include

Brocks Hill Sculpture

The Friends of Brocks Hill Country Park wanted to add some wooden sculptures to the park to enhance interest for children.
They applied to the OVHF for a grant and were able to commission Wood Sculptor Peter Leadbeater to produce a wooden sculpture of a slug which had been designed by a boy from Millgate Special Education School in Leicester. The boys were able to go to Beacon Hill to help Peter with the sculpture.

Children helping to make the sculpture The 'Slug' happily installed in Brocks Hill Park
